Harness Inspection & Certification
Harnesses and lanyards must be checked by a competent person every 6 months. Records of checks must be recorded for auditing purposes. Canterbury Training & Contracting can provide periodic checks of a range of fall protection systems – let us take the hassle away from you. We can conduct checks either onsite or at our workshop. We will issue inspection tags informing the equipment has been checked by a ‘qualified person’ as well as a full report covering:
Age
Function test
General appearance (including dirtiness)
Cuts, punctures, and abrasions
Hot work and UV damage
Attachment wear and corrosion of metallic components
Stitching damage
Evidence of chemicals, paints, and sealants
